Join us on August 2 at 11:00 a.m. for Shuso Hossen, the ceremony marking the end of the summer training period at the Hazy Moon. During this ancient and powerful ritual, head priest Jacklyn Gyonin Hirshfeld will present the koan she has been working for three months to penetrate and invite sangha members to challenge her understanding of the koan's meaning. Enjoy the spectacle as assorted dragons and rhinos try to knock a snarling lioness off her perch!

The Latest Jukai Ceremony at the Hazy Moon



Sangha member Matthew Silverstein recently took his refuge vows and acquired the Dharma name Kogyo ("Infinite Light of Wisdom"). The beautiful ceremony moved many people to tears--most notably Kogyo himself! To learn about other recent events at the Hazy Moon, check out our news page.
