Dharma Talks

You Are Ultimate Reality

During the recent jukai ceremony for Colombene Jinen Jenner, Nyogen Roshi gave a powerful talk connecting the precepts and the practice of cultivating samadhi with the meaning of Jinen's name ("Ultimate Reality"). "When you actualize no separation," Roshi says, "you and the precepts and ultimate reality become just one thing." Find the rest of Roshi's words here.

Telling It Like It Is

We've decided to reprint Laura Huxley's interview with one of our Hazy Moon priests. Huxley, who died in December 2007, offered a visionary perspective on our world and spoke of the sources of human suffering, as well as the possibility of liberation, in a way that intimately relates to the life of Zen practice. Find her timely and timeless words here.
